    • Grotesquerie: Season 1 (2024) - Principle Set Costumer

      Costume Designer: Hala Behmet/Lou Eyrich

Grotesquerie is a surreal crime drama story that involved alot of dark themes and bizarre murders. As a set costumer, I had several opportunities to apply blood on our principle actors and prepare multiples.

Below are several examples blood work I got to do on set (some used and not used) and some of the tools I like to use whenever blood is involved.

    • Growing Fangs (2021) - Ager/Dyer

      Costume Designer: Laura Cristina Ortiz

Help created "zombie cheerleader uniforms" that were family friendly "bloodied" and rotted.

Uniforms were made from synthetic fabrics, so extra steps were created to make it look more "natural" with the decaying details.
    • We Need to Do Something (2021)

      - Assistant Costume Designer

      Costume Designer: Bic Owen

A major challenge of an indie project that was being filmed during the beginning of a pandemic while being on location in a swing state during a monumental election.

The whole crew was sequestered during the entire production and for the majority of the filming, I had to act as a costume department of one (managing continuity while also prep aging costumes simultaneously). It was fun to keep building on the aged layers and implementing creative problem solving throughout the production.

    • Into the Dark: Good Boy (2019)

      - Set Costumer

      Costume Designer: Lynette Meyer

One of my favorite productions I got to work on, especially because the director wanted to use A LOT of blood and we had so many dogs on set.

Things definitely got super messy, but the freedom of it made it really fun. It was a real pleasure to collaborate with makeup and SFX for all of the gruesome moments.

    • How To Be Alone (2018)

      - Set Costumer

      Costume Designer: Alisha Silverstein

My first experience of having to use MacGyver skills to age a costume, but also a moment where I fell in love with the process.

Was giving the task to break in the shirt and a double to prepare for a bloody moment. With no tools in my newbie costumer kit, I ended up purchasing a pedicure set from Target that had a plethora of textured sanding tools. I was able to make it work and learned a lot about aging on the fly.
